I learned this one years ago from my Father. Punctuate the following sentence so it makes sense:

Alice while Matthew had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.


The solution is: Alice, while Matthew had had “had,” had had “had had.” “Had had” had had a better effect on the teacher.
